These terms cover your use of this website and the consultations and treatments you book with LUMEN — Aesthetics by Marie RN, run by Marie Murphy at 26 Beeches Walk, Sutton Coldfield, B73 6HN. Please read them before you book.
Information on this website
The information on this website is general and is not medical advice. Whether a treatment is suitable for you can only be decided after a consultation. Results vary from person to person and are never guaranteed. Images on this website are illustrative and do not show clients or treatment results.
Who can be treated
All treatments are for adults aged 18 and over, and we may ask for proof of age. Please give full and accurate information about your health, medicines and previous treatments, as this is essential for your safety. Marie may decline or postpone a treatment if, in her professional judgement, it is not right for you, and she will explain why.
Consultations and consent
Every treatment begins with a consultation, where the benefits, risks, limitations and alternatives are explained. You will be asked to give written consent before any treatment, and you are always free to take time to decide. Prescription-only treatments are only offered following a face-to-face consultation with a qualified prescriber.
Booking, changes and cancellations
If you need to change or cancel an appointment, please let us know as soon as possible so the time can be offered to someone else. If we need to rearrange, we will let you know as soon as we can and offer another time. Any fees, deposits or charges will be explained to you before you book.
Your right to cancel
If you book by phone, email or message, you have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of booking, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. If you ask for an appointment within those 14 days and then cancel, you may need to pay for any service already provided. Once a treatment has been fully carried out, the right to cancel no longer applies.
Your legal rights
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, services must be carried out with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights. For information about your rights, contact Citizens Advice.
Our responsibility to you
We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded by law. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, or for problems caused by not following the aftercare advice given to you.
Using this website
The content of this website belongs to LUMEN and may not be copied for commercial use without permission. We try to keep the information up to date, but it may change. Links to other websites, such as Facebook, are provided for convenience and we are not responsible for their content.
Complaints
If something is not right, please tell us. Our complaints procedure explains how we will deal with it.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
